Sara is so pleased to receive sponsorship from Champion and Toggi with her new hats, body protectors and team clothing. As a coach, she feels it is imperative that she continues to be a good role-model by wearing and promoting top quality protective safety wear when she is coaching and competing. This season is a part of a two year selection cycle for Sara who aims to be part of team GB at the pony world championships in 2019. .
Phillipa Howe
Phillipa Howe is a 29 year old single pony driver, competing at both international and national level. Phillipa, was born into carriage driving with two very successful parents- a father who rose to the top of the coaching world and a multiple medal winning mother. As a junior driver, Phillipa was very talented, winning the Indoor National Supreme Championships on two separate occasions.
Her best achievement to date is winning the National Carriage Driving Championships in September 2017. Phillipa’s pony Sox, is a 13 year old Welsh Sec C bay gelding known to many as a pocket rocket!! The two of them make a very strong team that really excel on the marathon phase of a driving competition. When travelling at high speeds through obstacles, it is very important to feel well protected and this year, being sponsored by one of the leading brands, they will head out to battle in safe hands.
Phillipa is one of our up and coming talents for the future and hopes to be selected for the world championships 2019 in Hungary and will start her campaign alongside her mother Sara this summer.
