For the second consecutive year, Champion is proud to be official safety wear sponsors for the Windrush Equestrian Foundation. Founded in memory of Christina Knudsen and her passion for the eventing discipline, the foundation aims to support young riders to develop a successful career as a professional eventer.
Research carried out by the foundation identified a gap in the training available to young eventers after the age of 21 who would have to self-fund their training or receive little economic help from others. The foundation offers a bespoke training programme in order for young eventers to reach their goals and support themselves within the industry.
The training programme is mentored by long-standing Champion rider, Pippa Funnell at her yard. Each rider has access to a tailor-made training plan, an education programme including veterinary, mental coaching and body control, business and economics as well as communications.
Champion will be protecting the team with the popular Ti22 body protector and helmets from our new REVOLVE range featuring MIPS technology. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology is designed to redirect rotational force during impact caused from rotational falls.
We look forward to seeing the Windrush Equestrian Foundation riders on the 2020 eventing circuit and wish them all the best in their future careers.
