Champion Continue Support of the Fairfax British Showjumping Youth Teams

As part of their continuing and longstanding support of the sport, British Showjumping is pleased to announce that leading protective headwear brand, Champion, will be continuing as an Official Supporter of the Fairfax British Showjumping Pony, Children, Junior and Young Rider Teams. As they did in 2013, Champion will support the teams at their respective European Championships.

With a reputation built upon safety, Champion has a tremendous British heritage and the brand has been a driving force in the design and development of protective riding hats for over three decades. During this time, design and production technology has been refined, enhanced and perfected to ensure Champion products are based upon the most up-to-date, scientific safety research.

Last year, Champion turned its focus towards the youth teams following on from their previous support of the British Showjumping Nations Cup Team, which saw senior riders compete under the ‘Team Champion’ banner when representing Great Britain on the Nation’s Cup circuit.

The riders selected for the British Showjumping Youth Teams are passionate about showjumping and committed to achieving results for Great Britain. Since 1980, these Teams have won a total of 145 medals. The Children, Junior and Young Rider Teams will compete at their respective European Championships at Arezzo in Italy during 22^nd – 27^th July 2014 and the Pony Team will be in action at their European Championships at Millstreet in Ireland during 30^th July – 3^rd August 2014.

Champion will support the Youth Teams by providing riders with a specially designed GBR version of the immensely popular Air-Tech helmet. This helmet combines a stylish modern design with a high tech ventilation system and innovative adjustable head sizing ring, not to mention the confidence and peace of mind that comes as standard with the Champion brand.
