The jump season gets underway at Chepstow racecourse this weekend with two exciting days of racing on the cards. We are thrilled to yet again sponsor two races at this exciting season opener for the second day of the Unibet Jumps Season Opener meeting, which always attracts a line-up of horses who provide terrific racing action.
With so many restrictions now lifted, the doors are open and jockeys, trainers, owners and of course racing fans can look forward to two days of quality racing, while home viewers can watch all the action on Sky Sports Racing.
The 2m Champion Hats Juvenile Hurdle and 2m 3f John Ayres Memorial Handicap Chase will come under starters orders on Saturday 9th October and we are proud to continue to support Chepstow and the sport of racing.
Jump racing is spectacular and thrilling when you’re at the course to watch. You can savour a close-up view of the majestic sight of great horses in action and the skill and courage of the jockeys who ride them. A day at the races is always a treat and Chepstow is ideal for a family fun day out at one of our top horse racing fixtures on the calendar.
Champion has been a long-time supporter of the sport of racing. Our founding father John Ayres had the privilege and pleasure of owning many racehorses over his lifetime, and his love of point-to-pointing and National Hunt racing was well known to all who knew him. Sadly, John passed away in 2013, however we are proud to continue his support of the sport. To see his legacy and memory live on in the riders wearing Champion Safety Helmets and Body protectors is very fitting. Champion products are still made a short distance from Chepstow in Cardiff, with the company now run by John’s two daughters.
